The Stock Exchange

The Death Valley Stock Exchange (DVSE) lists eleven of the valley's companies, from BloodVault Holdings to Hemoglobin Airlines. Buy shares, watch them move, and sell when you like.

How prices move

Prices update every 30 minutes. Each company drifts with its own buying and selling, a little chance (more for the volatile ones), and the news: coven wars, fallen city bosses, the Pall thinning, the holidays and the weather all nudge prices for a while before the effect fades. Some companies follow the city too: NoxCorp with Arena fights, Nightfall Tech with crafting, Shadow Realty with new vampires, Thrall Logistics with Night Market sales.

There is no sure thing. News moves a price by a few percent at most, less than the broker's fees on a round trip.

Fees and limits

• A 2% broker fee on every buy and every sell.
• How much of one company you may hold grows with your level; the Max button works it out for you.
• Up to 20 trades an hour.
• If prices haven't updated for an hour, the market is closed until they do.

Dividends

Hold a company for 7 days with a stake worth at least a tenth of the most you may hold in it, and once a week it pays you a crafting material from its trade (two at half that limit). Dividends are never gold.

Titles

• Old Money: hold any company for 30 days.
• Robber Baron: the best return in a calendar month (at least 250,000 gold sold over three or more sales, at a profit).

Shares can't be taken in a fight. Your Portfolio, Leaders and History tabs keep the score.
