Games Like OGame
OGame is one of the longest-running browser strategy games. If you like alliances, wars and a world that keeps going while you are away, but want a change of setting, here is what to look for and how Vampire Genesis compares. A note up front: we make Vampire Genesis, so weigh our view accordingly.

What OGame is
According to its website, OGame is a space strategy browser game from Gameforge, running since 2002, where you conquer planets, research technologies, form alliances and fight space wars with thousands of other players.
So a game "like OGame" is a persistent browser game (PBBG) built on long-term growth, alliances and wars that play out while you are offline.
What to look for
- Persistence: a shared world that keeps going between sessions.
- Alliances: groups that plan together and win together.
- Territory: ground to take and hold.
- Long-term growth: progress you build for months or years.
- Fair monetization: a game where money can't buy power.
Vampire Genesis
Vampire Genesis is an RPG rather than a pure strategy game: you play one vampire, not an empire. But the group game will feel familiar. Where it overlaps and where it differs:
- Covens as alliances. Raise a coven from level 1 to 30 and fill its treasury together.
- Territory wars. Covens fight on three fronts for five of the eight districts on the city map, and the winner takes the ground.
- Your own character. Level to 500 and beyond, chase gear graded Poor to Legendary, and catch over 160 familiars.
- A gothic city, not space. Death Valley is a Victorian city running on far-future machines, with its own clock and weather. See the city guide.
- Cosmetic-only premium. The game never sells gold, Actions or gear.
