Quickstart
Welcome to Vampire Genesis, a free vampire game you play in your browser. You wake in Death Valley, a gothic city under the Pall that never sleeps, with nothing but a thirst. This page walks you through your first nights.
Bonus Actions from votes, the Question of the Day, events and rewards never go to waste. Anything over your cap is saved in your Reserve. You can draw up to 500 a day from it.
2. Spend your AP. Each level gives you AP to put into your four stats: Strength, Agility, Endurance and Stamina. See Statistics.
3. Train. The Insomniac Gym (City, Train) raises Strength, Agility and Endurance. You get fresh Gym Reps every night, more as you level. Time your lifts in the gym's minigame for bigger gains.
4. Heal. If you fall, wait for the Revival: every half hour every vampire is restored to full Lifeforce for free. If you can't wait, the Midnight Clinic heals you for gold.
5. Bank your gold. Gold you carry can be taken by vampires who beat you in the Arena. Gold in the bank is safe (withdrawals cost a 5% fee).
6. Gear up. Buy weapons and armour in the Armory, or hire a crafter to make something better. See Gear.
7. Find a coven. Covens share a treasury and a bank, fight wars and seize districts of the city. Browse them under Covens; once you reach level 10 you can found your own.
Your strength in a fight comes from your level, your four stats and your gear. Daily Quests and the Question of the Day are an easy boost every night.
• You can challenge the same vampire only once every 2 hours, and not at all for 6 hours after you beat them.
• You can't attack members of your own coven.
• Newbloods are protected for their first nights, and so is anyone who has just fought or lost three fights in six hours.
• Familiars: catch, raise and battle companions that lend you their strength.
• Professions and crafting: gather, craft and trade.
• Covens: joining, founding and territory wars.
• FAQ and Glossary: quick answers and terms.
• Rules: please read these before you play.
Actions: your night's energy
Almost everything you do (hunting, fighting, dredging, the Ossuary) costs Actions. You can hold up to 500, and they refill on their own: one every 3 minutes (10 each half hour), the same for everyone, Premium or not. The header shows how many you have and a countdown to the next one.Bonus Actions from votes, the Question of the Day, events and rewards never go to waste.
