Barghest
A hound of smoke and grave-dirt that pads beside the doomed. Hearing its howl means someone will be buried by morning.
The Barghest is one of 13 beasts in Vampire Genesis, creatures of fang and fur of the deep woods. It is never found in the wild: it can only be bred through the Blood Communion. The Codex hint reads: "When the moon is gone, a hound of smoke answers the hellhound's call."
