The name Blodwen is Welsh for White or Blessed Flower. The last name "Steele" was one she adopted in honor of her creator, who used the name while posing as a human musician. Blodwen was given the dark gift at a young age, while she was still naive about the ways of the world and innocent of the knowledge of carnal desires and the feelings of love beyond her wildest imaginings. Her creator taught her everything from how to hunt effectively and be brutal and efficient in battle, to how to relish the pleasures of the flesh. She lived surrounded by great decadence and indulged her passions for sport, blood and flesh with wild abandon. But her love and her heart belonged to her creator. Only he touched her heart and soul and so it would be for many joyous years. But the happiness would not last forever.
