Joshua DeLaro

Joshua Rose DeLaro Josh grew up normally, despite having been born with Angelic powers. Unknown to himself, his parents, or his siblings, he was chosen as the next Angel of Warfare. He was "blessed" with the memories of the previous Archangel. As he grew, however, things became harder. His powers grew immensely with him. They became harder and harder to control. This climaxed in what would have normally stripped any angel of their powers. One normal night, something happened. Josh, despite being an Archangel, had no wings. Until now. He spontaneously grew large, white, feathery wings that shimmered with a golden brilliance, even in the darkest of places. However, the spontaneous growth had drawbacks. Josh experience a pain that no mortal, immortal, or angel had ever experienced. This pain led him to discover the one power that was meant to be locked away. His Smite. Once his wings had grown fully, and Josh had finished screaming, a brilliant, nearly blinding white light tore a hole into the overcast sky, blocking out even the full moon's shine. This light quickly started to circle, and condense, until it formed a singular beam. This beam instantly shot down, tearing through wood, metal, stone, brick and plaster, destroying his room. It was only a small portion of what his true potential was, but it was enough to change his, and his sibling's lives forever. That night, his older sister Scarlet, was the only one to escape the raging inferno that was created. His family, his mother, father, older sister Jamie, and his older brother Jonathan were all killed. They all perished in the fire spawned from Josh's transformation into a full fledged Archangel. He fled that night, and kept going until he couldn't. He eventually ended up lost in the American Southwest. There, he was eventually taken in by other angels, and an Archangel, the Angel of Peace, his new brother. Despite having been gone for many years on Earth, he spent what felt like only weeks in Heaven. He was trained, educated, and armed. Eventually having to say his goodbyes to his new brothers and sisters, the hardest was parting with his partner, the Angel of Peace. He then returned to Earth in a fiery ball, quickly descending from the Heavens. Unbeknownst to him, nearly a decade had passed since the night of the fire. Josh was now 25, and would forever be 25. Eventually, he had wandered the world, avoiding being seen, learning how to blend in with mortals and immortals alike, until one day, he found his sister, Scarlet.
