The Hunt
Feed in the wilds beyond the city
Every vampire must feed. Plan an expedition into one of the four wild wards beyond the valley, or take a quick hunt when time is short: the deeper you go, the richer the blood and the deadlier the things that find you.
- Expeditions: plan a route across Gallows Moor, the Rookery, the Drowned Fens or the Ashen Reach, choose how to fight each beast, and haul your spoils home. There's one shared Daily Hunt each day, too.
- Bloodlust: chain your kills for bigger rewards, but bank them before an elite or champion takes it all.
- Rival hunters: other vampires work the same trails. Duel them for triple spoils, or slip past.
Covens at War
Raise a bloodline, take the city
No vampire rules Death Valley alone. Found a coven or swear yourself to one, then fight for every district on the map.
- Territory wars: fortify a district and hold it under siege against rival covens.
- Coven Wars: three fronts, two days of fighting, and the winner takes territory. Raise your coven from level 1 to 30 to unlock bigger halls, more members and a tabard in your colours.
- Shared spoils: a treasury and a coven bank, with the gold tax and healing and repair cover your leaders set.

Vampire Genesis is a persistent browser-based game: your vampire lives on in a shared world between sessions. Play a few minutes a day or lose whole nights; new content arrives all the time.

A Lair of Your Own
Start in the Common Lair, then buy a room, flat, townhouse or mansion. Furnish it, light its window on the map and open the door to visitors.
Professions & Crafting
Four gathering and five crafting professions: forge weapons, armor and shields, brew potions and dyes, cut jewels and enchant. Gear comes in grades from Poor to Legendary, and the best of it passes through crafters' hands.

Is Vampire Genesis free to play?
Yes. Vampire Genesis is a free vampire game: there is nothing to buy to play. Optional premium extras are cosmetic only, so nobody can buy power.
What is a PBBG?
PBBG stands for persistent browser-based game. You play in your web browser, and your vampire lives on in a shared world between sessions: your coven, your familiars, your home and your rivals are all still there when you come back.
Do I need to download anything?
No. Vampire Genesis runs in your browser on desktop computers, phones and tablets. There is nothing to install.
How do I start playing?
Press Play Free, choose a name and you're in. No email or password is needed to start; you can add one later to secure your vampire.
What makes it different from other vampire games?

How old is Vampire Genesis?
